MPS stepper motor drivers are optimized to drive bipolar stepper motors used in printers, document scanners, robots, and other office and factory automation equipment. The MPS stepper motor driver family includes both low and high voltage devices as well as parts with or without indexer or translator logic. Some MPS parts feature internal current regulation with no shunt resistors, and feature the most accurate current control in the industry, providing microstepping capability.
MPS H-bridge drivers are designed to drive DC brush motors and solenoids in consumer appliances, toys, automotive, and industrial applications. Many different interfaces are supported, including SPI control, PWM interfaces, and separate high-side and low-side controls. Parts available include ½-H-Bridge devices that can be used to regulate current in solenoids, as well as single and dual H-bridge parts to drive DC brush motors of various sizes, from 2V up to 60V and up to 5A. Some parts are qualified for automotive use (AEC-Q100).
MPS Fan drivers are designed to drive consumer fans, industrial fans and automotive fans, notebook Fans, PC Fans, industrial Fans, etc. There are single-phase and three-phase products, sine-wave control and non-sine-wave control products can be selected to meet different application scenarios. MPS fan driver parts features highly integrated, digital programming, open/close speed loop and proprietary packaging and wafer process technology to simplify design and minimize the bill of materials (BOM) for system applications. Some parts are qualified for automotive use (AEC-Q100).
Servo Drive Modules & Evaluation Kits enable fast development of brushless smart servo motor solutions. The modules have a complete PCB assembly comprising position sensing, power stage, and FOC control algorithms for integration into a BLDC motor. By combining the module with a MPS motor evaluation kit you’ll be able to test the full solution. Integrated field oriented control algorithms combined with MPS’s patented MagAlpha magnetic angular position sensor technology enables servo motor solutions that have high efficiency and high torque over the full range of motor speeds. A software GUI provides the tools to develop, parameterize and control the motor though an RS485 interface. The final motor solution can be controlled for speed or position using either commands sent over an RS485 interface, or via a simpler PULSE/DIR input.
MPS pre-drivers and integrated solutions are designed to drive brushless DC (BLDC) motors and permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) used in robotics, industrial, automotive, and consumer applications, such as power tools, fans, pumps, and e-bikes. Using our unique process technology, these ICs minimize the need for external components by integrating more functionality onto the single silicon die, saving board space by keeping everything in a tiny package. The ability to select from multiple input logic options and be used at a wide variety of input voltages makes these pre-drivers flexible and scalable, so they are ready to meet the needs of many different applications. Some parts are qualified for automotive use (AEC-Q100).
