MPS provides easy-to-use programmable battery management solutions, which utilize our silicon technology to achieve a high level of integration and excellent thermal performance. Our extensive portfolio features battery charger ICs with integrated-MOSFETs supporting different battery pack chemistries and configurations of 1 to 6 series cells and charge currents up to the 5A.

CC & CV Controllers are used in applications with a removable battery pack, such as charging cradles for power tools, where the battery is charged externally from the portable device. Our cradle charger products are designed to work together with the AC/DC converter in the charging cradle to provide current and voltage regulation functions on the output as well as battery safety during charging. These charger solutions are easy to use and allow the system designer to achieve reliable performance with a reduced bill of materials and solution cost.

An important element of product safety is protection from voltage surges on both the input port and battery terminal. MPS protection products are designed to protect portable devices from voltage surges up to 30V on the input port, which may occur due to unreliable AC mains lines, or damaged power supplies. Our protection ICs provide a small solution size, quick response time, and highly-reliable operation.

MPS Fuel Gauge leverages a sophisticated mixed mode algorithm to provide a complete set of estimates beyond state of charge ( i.e. time to empty, full, available power, state of health) -  key in improving the end user experience. Our Pack Side Fuel Gauge can be paired with any AFEs with cell-level ADC readings and unlock all the potential of any existing designs for battery pack with 2 or more stacked cells.
